What is Motability?

Motability is a scheme that enables you to turn your disability allowance into a brand new Vauxhall - over 550,000 people currently lease a car using it. It’s designed to be as simple and straightforward as possible - there are no waiting lists, credit checks or lengthy assessment procedures to go through. You don’t even have to drive the vehicle yourself – you can nominate two drivers for free.

The scheme is simplicity itself. You just make an Advance Payment (if applicable) and your allowance is converted into a three-year lease on a brand new Vauxhall of your choice. During those three years, all you’ll pay for is fuel and oil – your car is insured, serviced and maintained for you, plus you also get full RAC Breakdown Assistance, tyre and windscreen replacement and a 20,000 mile annual mileage allowance.

To become an approved supplier, we are regularly inspected on-site to meet a set of standards set by Motability, and our experienced team is regularly trained and tested to make sure we offer the best possible advice.

Who is Eligible for Vauxhall Motability?

You can apply for the Vauxhall Motability scheme as a driver or passenger, or as a parent or carer on behalf of a child aged three or over.
The scheme is available to people receiving one of the following benefits, who have at least 12 months’ award length remaining when they apply:

• Higher Rate Component of the Disability Living Allowance; or
• War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement.

Motability Schemes

We are able to offer three ways to help with your mobility. Either Motability New Car Contract Hire Scheme or Motability New Car Hire Purchase Plan in exchange for all, or part, of the Higher Rate Mobility Component of the Disability Living Allowance. Or as a registered disabled person, you can also purchase selected new cars outright at a favourable discount on our Mobility Plan.

1. Motability New Vauxhall Car Contract Hire Scheme
This low-cost package is easily the most popular in the Motability Scheme. All you have to do is pay an Advance Payment (if applicable) and then in exchange for your Allowance you can get a brand new car for 3 years. Your car will be fully maintained, serviced and insured for the 3-year period. You can travel up to 20,000 miles a year, without an excess mileage charge and all you have to pay for is your fuel and oil. When the 3-year period is over you simply return your car and choose a new one!

2. Motability New Vauxhall Car Hire Purchase Plan
We also offers a favourable discount on a wide range of vehicles that can be purchased using all or part of your Allowance. The length of a Hire Purchase Agreement is 4 or 5 years and at the end of the period the car is yours to keep.

3. Vauxhall Mobility Plan
If youre registered disabled and dont qualify for Motability assistance then you will be able to take advantage of our favourable discounts and purchase many new cars outright.


Special adaptations.
For the 10% of Motability customers who require a special adaptation to enable them to drive safely or travel in comfort as a passenger, special adaptations may be required.
