![]() “Superbly Versatile All-Round Family Vehicle” – What Car, August 2009
Whatever Youre Into, Get Into a 3008 Whether it’s cruising down the motorway or hugging a hairpin, the new Peugeot 3008 Crossover gives you the freedom to go wherever you want, whatever you’re into. Combining the best of an MPV, SUV, and a hatchback, the new 3008 Crossover means you’ll never have to compromise. Wherever your lifestyle takes you, from the school run to the ski slopes, it’s always the right car to be in. And it does it all with bags of style, loads of space and some rather remarkable technology. It’s a spacious crossover, a mix between a hatchback and MPV, mirroring a Nissan Qashqai for size. The 3008 looks sleek thanks to narrow, swept-back headlights. To make sure it’s practical, there’s a split tailgate (the lower flap can support 200kg) and a whopping 512-litre boot. Delve inside the cabin of the 3008 and the dashboard looks pretty good too. 3008 has a cool row of toggle switches, a pop-up sat-nav and head-up display. There’s also an Air Quality Sensor, an electric handbrake, and top-spec versions get Dynamic Roll Control. There’s also Grip Control, a five-mode traction control system. The 3008 has a huge range of high-tech controls including Distance Alert and Head-Up Display, which projects essential driver information at eye level. State-of-the-art entertainment and telematics systems, hugely generous leg room and personal air-conditioning complete the atmosphere of luxury and comfort. Technology The high driving position makes for great all-round visibility; yet the cockpit-like layout lets you know that you are firmly connected to the road. The unique Head-Up Display allows you to read essential information without taking your eyes off the road. Hill-starts are made easy as the car will automatically release the electric handbrake when the revs increase.
And the engines? The line-up for the 3008 is as follows: • 1.6-litre diesel – 110bhp with electronic six-speed manual • 1.6-litre petrol – 120bhp with five-speed manual Specifications and prices:
